Clean Desk Policy

 

General Terms:

  • All sensitive, confidential, or personal information, whether paper-based or electronic, must be secured when not in use or at the end of the workday.
  • File cabinet keys must not be left in offices or in any unsecured locations.
  • Computers must be locked when not actively in use.
  • Computers should be powered off at the end of the workday.
  • Laptops should be stored in secure drawers or secured with a lock.
  • Printed materials should be removed from printers immediately and not left in the printing area.
  • Documents containing sensitive, confidential, or personal information should be shredded when no longer needed or placed in designated disposal bins.
  • Whiteboards must be wiped clean after meetings or when no longer needed.
